Lekker gereden, flink gecrashed, gewoon een vette roddel? Ga naar binnen en vertel je sterke mountainbikeverhalen in het Café.

Hopefully someone can understand this or translate it. I live in the US and although I have quite a bit of German blood in me I can"t speak, read , or write it ;)

Anyway, I sold Steve Denys a boxxer drop crown last april for $30 US. He sent money to my Paypal account (oo so I thought) and I figured everything went smoothly. I never really payed much attention to this until today since I set up my Paypal account so I could deposit my balances into my checking account.

Well, I came to find out that I didn"t get my $30 dollars from him because "This payment was automatically cancelled by PayPal on May 7, 2004 because the funds were not received from the buyer"s bank within 30 days."

I don"t like to get screwed over even if it is over a measly $30. I have found that he posts on here on the forums of www.dirty-pages.net often. I don"t expect to get anything from this kid since he could have gotten a hold of me after I didn"t recieve payment, but I just want to warn people of dealing with him in the future.

Thanks

Did you mail or talk to him? I know him personally and he has never given me or anyone i know any problems with sales. I"m sure he will straigthen things out asap.

I"ll certainly point him in the direction of this tread. But I know he is at a bikepark in Germany this weekend, so that will be somewhere next week.

greetz to the US.

BTW most belgians speak reasonably good english so posting in english is not a big problem.

Thanks for the reply. I"m just a little worked up because this is the second time I"ve had issues with selling stuff.

I did send him an e-mail, and maybe I jumped the gun by posting before I gave him some time to reply. Like you said, this could be the case of an honest mistake and if it is I hope we could get it worked out, but I"ve been in a situation like this before, and I played nice for about 2.5 months until I realized I had to be forceful to get something done.

I know I mailed the crown to him and I do remember e-mailing him a tracking number. I never heard back from him from that point on though, so I just assumed everything went well.

If you could just give him a heads up that would be awesome bEttEs! Hopefully everything will work out.

Not so fast Inclag

you"re sentencing before the trial. You even didn"t give him the time to respond to you. Possibly he doesn"t even know yet there is a problem and you"re already accusing him...
I know Steve very well and I never had issues of this kind. I also never heard of such issues.
As a moderator I changed the subject of this thread.
If it turns out to be a mistake, you damaged his reputation by posting such stuff. Think about that

Hey Inclag,

I just read the topic. I already buyed alot of things from the USA and I never had problems with it.

I do now that paypal charged my visa with 30$, I"m certain of that.
I don"t know what happened and I didn"t receive an e-mail yet, did you send it to my hotmail or skynet account?
I did send you one now to the internet adress that is in your profile

I"m still on ridemonkey.com, that"s where I bought the crown of you if I"m correct, so you could have PM me.

I"m gonna search my visa receipts and gonna look what happened.

Grtz
Steve

Hey,

I did check my visa receipts.
Like I said they did credit my visa on 08/04 (your paypal name is dhdsfrpoon if I"m correct?)

But what didn"t I see, the next month, exactly one month later,08/05, they debited my visa with 30$=25€, I also don"t understand why

I didn"t notice the amount they charged my bank account in the month of may, because I also bought alot off other stuff that month with my visa, so I dind"t see the difference of the 25€ :-[.

I mailed you, so send me your paypal account adress and I"ll get you the money asap.

Grtz

I just received Steve"s e-mail, and got back to him and we"re going to try to find out what went wrong and work everything out.

I will say that it does sound like it was either an honest mistake or Paypal or something else went wrong. If that is the case then I will full out apologize for the accusation I made. Hopefully none of you guys or Steve harvest any hard feelings towards me if that is the case, but I do want to figure out what happened and in my defense, I have been scammed before and it sucks, so my first reaction to this may have been a little irrational.

Steve, I sent my first e-mail to your skynet account.

BTW, thank you mods for editing the title

It was a mistake on the bank"s end, and steve and myself are working this out right now so I do appologize for being quick to judge Steve. I hope that it doesn"t hurt his reputation that I posted this.
