We were discussing this combination yesterday while spectating the 75min bergrace. It seems this combination is not very good, but the "new" Loop Bar or Cut H Bar ($550 :S) are compatible with the Rohloff shifter.

Does anyone else have suggestions on combining the two? I would like to keep the J-Bar and also have a Rohloff. Below is another option (using an accessory extender mounted on the steerer under the stem), but it's pretty ugly/ungainly.

If you want to keep using the H-bar I do not see another option. It may not be the most correct way, but if you want it cheaper just contact one of the frame builders that have them made in Taiwan/China. I know Caspar is doing it, but also Skyde in France can do it.
I guess they will be a lot cheaper if you go that way.

We allready spoke about the mittelmeyer to put on the curved part of the H-bar.
You could also try this to put te shifter on and connect it to the straight part in the middle of the H-bar.

That mittlemeyer looks good, but, as Rinus mentioned, it's pretty small and probably hard to operate with gloves. The extension piece like that could work well, but having it next to my hand would be the preference. I think I'll have a map(case) on top that will get in the way of the bar extensions. That's going to be a tricky one.
