To ALL Bicycle-Lovers out there! (no matter if Dirt, Street, Freeride, Downhill, Trial, BMX)

let us pedal the dust from our bikes and put them where they belong - on the road. I would like to go for a chilled Ride around the Kralingse Plas with my Ellsworth Joker, so every Rider from Rotterdam is heartly invited to join in. I really would like to know how many Riders of Street, Freeride, Dirt, Downhill Bikes there are here in Rotterdam. So do yourself and your bikes a favour and get them out this Sunday. About the exact time and location i am free for any suggestion - just lets get together and get united. This Ride might be cool to also discuss about Spots in and around Rotterdam, Events such as a New World Disorder Film Evening, BBQs and much more. Remember: Unity is Power - hence Riders from Rotterdam and Area, lets take the first step and GET IT ROLLING THIS SUNDAY!

I can't go because of my back (it's really messed up this time...)

for big meetings and stuff you'd have to post it at least a few weeks earlier, most people seem not te be interested to be riding with big groups and rather stay at their own town/village with the locals or on their own

I voted yes obviously but I do have my doubts on it's usefullness as for the things a union would be needed for in order to realise them you'll also need a dedicated group of riders who are willing to put in effort, which to be honest doesnt exist in this area

for example look at the bergschenhoek case, everyone bitches about the 4x track being gone but no one goes further than looking at each other waiting for others to take the initiative

True you are right. If i would knew that i will live here any longer than just another year then i would have taken some initiative. It is really a shame on all Riders of Rotterdam not to get their asses together - the Gemeente has the money and is willing to support but if nobody teaches them about the scene and tells them what is needed it doesnt work - how should a bunch of officechair accupiers in the gemeente administration know whats going on and what the youth of Rotterdam really wants if there is no one to raise his voice. Thats why it is always easiest to ride alone cause all this organizing and stuff is too annoying.
I just came back from a nice Ride in the Kralinge Plas area - so if the weather is good tommorow and someone willing to join then tell me.

you could go to skateland ( www.skateland.nl ; in the south of rotterdam ) on thursday night as lots of mtb/bmx riders from the South-Holland area go there when it's rainy..
